Do you have a passion to serve remote communities and see them transformed through education and capacity-building? Are you committed to the idea of community-owned, accountable and inclusive development work? TSD offers an opportunity to be a part of making meaningful change happen – in the schoolhouse, on the farm field, in the forest, at the dinner table, at the community meeting and more. We would love for you to join us in planting seeds of positive change (literally and figuratively!) in southern Chin State. There are three ways to join the TSD team and contribute to our work:

Volunteer with us
Come share your skills with us! If you have expertise that is relevant to our work, we welcome both local and international volunteers for both short and long-term assignments. Volunteers must bring skills that are useful to fill gaps in our team and are usually required to cover most costs related to the assignment. From local community members volunteering for a day to pass on their knowledge by training others, to international experts coming to stay with us for a few weeks or months to build the capacity of our team or community, we welcome all levels of volunteer support. We invite you to contact us to discuss if you are interested in volunteering.

Apply for an internship
Come learn from us! If you are a recent graduate, or someone looking to gain work experience in rural development work, TSD can offer you a chance to make a practical difference as you learn on the job.
If one of these situations describes you, an internship could be a good fit for you:
If you’re eager to learn, ready to help, quick to listen, and hardworking, here’s what TSD can offer to you:
Please contact us if you would like to apply for an internship. Let us know why you are interested in an internship and we will consider whether it is a good fit with TSD and whether it is possible for us at this time.
“When people ask me ‘what did you learn from the exchange visit to Thailand’, I say ‘I brought back water seeds!’. This knowledge is one of the most wonderful things we’ve gained in our food security project and the water systems we’ve installed have been a great achievement. Now, because of this knowledge, I am being invited by many other communities to help them set up a water system. I have a lot of office work, but I think I may spend my holidays helping some other communities with this!”
