TSD offers an opportunity to be a part of making meaningful change happen – in the schoolhouse, on the farm field, in the forest, at the dinner table, at the community meeting and more. We would love for you to join us in planting seeds of positive change (literally and figuratively!) in southern Chin State. There are three ways to join the TSD team and contribute to our work:

Here are some of the ways your donation can make a lasting difference:
• Quality education for a child changes their prospects for the rest of their lives

• Changing perceptions about disability or the role of women or other marginalised groups keeps segments of the population from living in silence, isolation or missing their full potential throughout their lives

Current Funding Needs
If you would like to contribute towards specific current needs, we invite you to consider giving to one of the following areas. Please make note of the purpose in the reference when you make the money transfer:

XX MMK – A laptop for a university student studying online due to the COVID-19 Pandemic
XX MMK – 1 month of living costs for an Ambassador for Education while they study at university

Fundraising Sales
Periodically, TSD holds a sale of products made at our Continuing Education Centre to raise funds for TSD’s activities. We produce ‘Mara-Made’ clothing and bags – following traditional weaving patterns and adapting these to current fashions. We also produce plants and plant-based products on our model farm. Follow us on Facebook page to hear about the next sale. Here are a few examples of our ‘Mara-Made’ products, made by youth, single women and others learning new livelihood skills:
Help raise funds
If you are inspired by our work and would like to encourage others to give, you could do a fundraising activity on our behalf. For example, you could:
- Share about our work and ask for donations among your family, at your church, through other community groups (ask us if you would like someone from TSD to join by video conference, in person, or to send a video greeting)
- Host a dinner party, concert, bake sale, flea market, game or other event and ask for donations from those who attend
- Sell our ‘Mara-Made’ products (contact us to discuss the practicalities)
- Start an online fundraiser
- Do a sponsored run, cycle trip or other challenge
- For your birthday, wedding or other special occasion, ask for a donation to TSD in your name instead of gifts
